Household Energy Performance Workshop
On September 14th, team members Brittany Judson, Bethany Velarde, Faith Rashidi-Yazd, Gwyn Rush, Madeleine Hardt, and Zoie Moore attended an amazing workshop at the Lifecycle Building Center (LBC) in the westside of Atlanta. The LBC is a nonprofit that captures building materials from the waste stream and directs them back into the community through reuse. The workshop was taught by Amelia Godfrey from Southface and Joe Thomas from Elemental Green. The AYEC team members learned about the importance of air sealing and insulation and learned how to do some air sealing projects themselves! Check out our Instagram highlights to learn more!

Georgia Climate Action Symposium 
​On September 27th, our Public Relations Coordinator, Gwyn Rush, spoke on a panel about the AYEC and youth environmental activism at the Georgia Climate Action Symposium.
​
The event was cosponsored by the Georgia Tech Global Change Program and six European consulates. You can view the panel discussion here starting at  4:52:20. 

Tabling at Agnes Scott College Student Fair
Thank you to everyone that came out to meet us at Agnes Scott College’s student organization fair a few weeks ago! We had a great time talking to you all about our organization and can’t wait to work with you all in the future!
